The Venus Altacom dining table, designed by Riccardo Buscato, combines the versatility of a round extending table with a distinctive architectural metal base. Its circular tabletop creates a balanced setting for everyday dining, while the extension system provides additional space whenever required.

Altacom offers Venus in several dimensions. The standard collection includes Ø95, Ø105 and Ø120 cm versions, each with an integrated folding extension. Moreover, the Venus Super version starts from Ø120 cm and uses three separate extensions to reach an impressive 270 cm in length. Therefore, the collection offers solutions for both compact dining areas and larger entertaining spaces.

Round top with an integrated extension

The standard Venus versions feature a telescopic mechanism with synchronized opening. The circular tabletop consists of two half-tops, while a folding extension remains concealed in the centre. Consequently, you can extend the table without storing an additional panel elsewhere.

The Ø95 cm model extends to 155 × 95 cm. Meanwhile, the Ø105 cm version reaches 165 × 105 cm. The largest standard version starts at Ø120 cm and opens to 180 × 120 cm.

In each case, a 60 cm integrated extension transforms the circular top into a practical oval dining surface. Therefore, Venus can remain compact for everyday use and provide extra space when guests arrive.

Venus Super for larger dining spaces

The Venus Super AT131S120 offers the same design concept with considerably greater extension capacity. It starts as a Ø120 cm round dining table. However, its telescopic mechanism accommodates three separate 50 cm extensions instead of one internal folding panel.

You can configure the tabletop at 170, 220 or 270 × 120 cm. As a result, Venus Super can adapt gradually to different numbers of guests.

Folding support legs provide additional stability when the table reaches its extended configurations. Moreover, an optional storage bag is available for the separate extensions.

Metal base and multiple tabletop materials

The sculptural metal base gives Venus its distinctive identity. Its geometric structure sits centrally beneath the tabletop, which helps preserve the visual balance of the circular design.

Meanwhile, Altacom offers the tabletop in a broad selection of materials. The current collection includes melamine, shiny glass, open-pore lacquered, oak veneer, Canaletto walnut, mortar-look and ceramic. Altacom officially confirms this broad choice of finishes as a defining feature of Venus.

For melamine, wood and mortar-look tops, the extension uses the same finish as the tabletop. With shiny glass and selected ceramic surfaces, the extension instead coordinates with the panel colour. Consequently, the exact appearance of the extended table depends on the selected top material.
