The Taboo Altacom extending console table combines strong geometric lines with impressive flexibility. Its distinctive rectangular legs give the design an architectural character. At the same time, the extending system transforms this compact console into a spacious dining table.

When closed, Taboo measures only 45 cm deep. Therefore, it works particularly well in an entrance, hallway or living area. When you need more dining space, the aluminium telescopic mechanism allows the table to expand progressively. Altacom offers versions with either three or five extensions.

From compact console to dining table

Both Taboo configurations measure W 110 × D 45 × H 75 cm when closed. However, they offer different maximum lengths.

The Taboo AC024/195 includes three extensions. It opens progressively to 95, 145 and 195 cm.

Alternatively, the Taboo AC024/295 includes five extensions. This version offers lengths of 95, 145, 195, 245 and 295 cm.

As a result, you can choose the configuration according to your room and dining requirements. Moreover, the intermediate positions allow you to adapt the table for different occasions.

Aluminium telescopic mechanism

Taboo uses an aluminium telescopic mechanism to manage the transformation. Each extension adds 50 cm to the table.

Central supporting legs add stability when the table is open. Their finish coordinates with the metal frame. Consequently, the supporting structure remains visually consistent with the rest of the console.

After dining, you can return Taboo to its compact format. Therefore, it offers the functionality of a large dining table without permanently occupying the same amount of floor space.

Multiple tabletop options

Altacom offers Taboo with a metal frame and several tabletop materials. The current collection includes melamine, open-pore lacquered, oak veneer, mortar-look and ceramic options.

This selection makes it easier to adapt Taboo to different interiors. For example, wood can create a warmer appearance. Ceramic can introduce a more refined surface, while mortar-look finishes suit contemporary interiors particularly well.

The extensions coordinate with the selected tabletop. However, the exact finish of the extension panels depends on the chosen material and configuration.
