The Sky Calligaris rug, designed by Michele Menescardi, interprets the changing colours of the sky through a soft gradient and an organic rounded silhouette. Unlike the rectangular Sky version, this variation features gently curved edges, giving the rug a softer and more fluid presence in the interior.

Organic shape and gradient effect

The distinctive character of Sky comes from the gradual transition between lighter and darker tones. Instead of using a conventional decorative pattern, the design relies on colour density and subtle tonal changes to create depth.

In this version, the gradient is combined with an organic rounded shape. As a result, the Sky Calligaris rug works particularly well with curved sofas, round coffee tables and furniture with soft architectural lines.

At the same time, its irregular outline can create an attractive contrast in interiors dominated by straight lines and rectangular furniture.

Taupe and Beige colour options

Sky is available in Taupe and Beige. Both versions feature the characteristic gradient effect, allowing different areas of the rug to transition naturally between tonal intensities.

Taupe offers a deeper and slightly more contrasting appearance. Beige, meanwhile, creates a lighter and softer impression. Therefore, both options can be coordinated with a broad selection of contemporary furniture finishes, including wood, ceramic, stone, glass and metal.

Moreover, the understated colour palette allows the unusual shape to remain expressive without overwhelming the surrounding furniture.

Long-pile polyamide surface

Sky is made from polyamide and features a long-pile surface with a digitally printed design. This production technique allows the gradient to flow smoothly across the rug.

A black fabric edge completes the construction. The combination of long pile, digital printing and tonal variation gives the surface additional visual depth and texture.

Consequently, Sky can function both as a practical foundation for furniture and as a decorative element within the room.

Two organic sizes

This version of Sky is available in two sizes:

• W 200 × D 300 × H 1.5 cm
• W 240 × D 350 × H 1.5 cm

The 200 × 300 cm option works well with more compact furniture arrangements. Meanwhile, the larger 240 × 350 cm version offers greater coverage for spacious living areas and larger seating compositions.
