The Flap Altacom extending console table is a compact and practical solution designed for interiors where space needs to adapt quickly to different uses. In its closed position, Flap works as a slim console table. When additional surface is required, the top opens like a book, transforming the console into a functional dining table.

Unlike traditional extending consoles with multiple removable extensions, Flap uses a simple doubling top. This makes the transformation particularly straightforward while keeping the overall design clean and minimal. Altacom describes Flap as a modern console designed around the idea of change and adaptability.

A simple book-opening transformation

The defining feature of Flap is its folding tabletop. When closed, the console has a depth of approximately 42.5 cm. The top can then be unfolded to create a dining surface approximately 85 cm deep.

As a result, there is no need to store several separate extension panels. The additional tabletop surface remains integrated into the furniture itself, making Flap especially practical for apartments and multifunctional living spaces.

The table stands 75 cm high when closed and approximately 77 cm high when opened, according to the current Altacom technical specifications.

Two widths available

Flap is offered in two versions, allowing the proportions to be selected according to the available space.

The AC011/130 version measures W 130 × D 42.5 cm when closed and opens to approximately W 130 × D 85 cm.

The larger AC011/150 version measures W 150 × D 42.5 cm when closed and opens to approximately W 150 × D 85 cm.

Therefore, both versions provide the same transformation principle while offering a choice between a more compact or wider dining surface.

Metal structure and configurable finishes

The Flap Altacom console features a metal frame, giving the design a slim and contemporary appearance. The current Altacom collection offers the metal base in several finishes, making it possible to coordinate the structure with different interior palettes.

For the tabletop, Altacom offers melamine and mortar-look finishes. This focused selection complements the straightforward character of the model and provides options for both understated and more textured interiors.

Designed for flexible interiors

Flap works particularly well where a permanent dining table would occupy unnecessary space. It can function as a console during everyday use and transform when a larger surface is needed.

Because the folding top is integrated directly into the design, the transformation remains uncomplicated. At the same time, the clean rectangular geometry makes Flap easy to combine with contemporary furniture.
