The Assist Altacom transforming coffee table offers exceptional flexibility for interiors that need to accommodate both everyday living and large dining occasions. It starts as a compact low table measuring 120 × 80 cm. However, its lifting and extension systems transform it into a dining table up to an impressive 320 cm long.
Altacom designed Assist for spaces that need to change according to the occasion. In fact, the manufacturer states that the fully extended table can accommodate up to 14 people. Therefore, Assist provides an interesting alternative to keeping a permanently large dining table in the room.
From coffee table to large dining table
When closed, Assist measures W 120 × D 80 cm and stands only 25 cm high. Therefore, it functions naturally as a generous coffee table.
A gas lifting mechanism adjusts the height continuously from 25 to 76 cm. As a result, you can choose an intermediate position or raise the table completely to dining height.
Moreover, Altacom integrates wheels beneath the base. These hidden wheels make it easier to reposition Assist when you change the room layout.
Four 50 cm extensions
Assist offers considerably more extension capacity than many transforming coffee tables. It includes four 50 cm extensions in total.
Two extensions remain inside the table, while the other two are external. Consequently, the tabletop can progress through several useful lengths: 120, 170, 220, 270 and 320 cm.
This system lets you adapt the table to the number of guests. For example, you can use one or two extensions for everyday dining. Alternatively, all four extensions create the maximum 320 × 80 cm surface.
When fully extended, folding support legs provide additional support at the outer ends of the table.
Adjustable gas lifting mechanism
The gas lifting system provides millimetre-by-millimetre adjustment between 25 and 76 cm. Therefore, Assist can perform several functions throughout the day.
Keep it low beside a sofa, select an intermediate height for casual use or raise it to full dining height. Meanwhile, the crossed metal base changes position together with the tabletop.
This combination of adjustable height and variable length makes Assist particularly suitable for multifunctional living and dining areas.
Multiple tabletop finishes
The current collection offers the Assist Altacom with a metal base and several tabletop options. These include melamine, open-pore lacquered, oak veneer, Canaletto walnut, old oak and mortar-look.
Therefore, the table can take on very different visual characters. Wood finishes introduce natural warmth, while mortar-look creates a more architectural appearance. Alternatively, melamine offers a clean and understated solution.
