The Helios Altacom transforming coffee table combines the functions of a low coffee table and a full-height dining table. Its adjustable mechanism changes both the height and the tabletop dimensions. In its compact position, Helios features a round Ø105 cm top and a height of only 36 cm. However, the table can rise continuously up to 77 cm. The integrated extension also transforms the round top into a larger dining surface measuring 165 × 105 cm.

As a result, Helios can move from relaxed coffee-table use to dining height without introducing a second table into the room.

Adjustable from coffee table to dining table

A gas lifting mechanism controls the height of Helios. Moreover, the system allows millimetre-by-millimetre adjustment between 36 and 77 cm. This means you can choose the height according to how you want to use the table.

At its lowest position, Helios works as a contemporary coffee table. Raise it further and it becomes suitable for casual seating or working. Finally, at full height, it functions as a dining table.

Synchronized extending top

Helios features a synchronized opening system with an integrated folding extension. The closed tabletop has a diameter of 105 cm. Once extended, it becomes an oval dining surface measuring 165 × 105 cm.

The integrated extension remains part of the table. Therefore, you do not need to store separate extension panels elsewhere.

In addition, Altacom integrates wheels beneath the base. They make it easier to reposition the table when necessary while keeping the mechanism discreet.

Wide choice of top materials

The Helios Altacom table features a metal base and offers an extensive selection of tabletop materials. Current options include melamine, shiny glass, open-pore lacquered, oak veneer, Canaletto walnut, mortar-look and ceramic.

Therefore, Helios can take on very different visual characters. Wood finishes can introduce warmth, while glass creates a lighter appearance. Alternatively, ceramic and mortar-look surfaces complement more architectural interiors.

The treatment of the extension depends on the selected material. For melamine, wood and mortar-look tops, the extension matches the top finish. Meanwhile, glass and ceramic versions use an extension coordinated with the panel colour.
