The Compact Altacom transforming coffee table combines a space-saving footprint with flexible everyday functionality. It works as a low coffee table when closed. However, its adjustable base and integrated extensions transform it into a practical dining table whenever required.
When closed, Compact measures W 100 × D 68 cm and stands only 25 cm high. Therefore, it fits naturally into a living area without occupying the space of a permanent dining table. The gas lifting mechanism raises the top continuously up to 84 cm. Meanwhile, two internal folding extensions increase the tabletop length from 100 to 170 cm.
Altacom describes Compact as a versatile piece designed to respond to both functional requirements and available space.
Adjustable from 25 to 84 cm
The gas lifting mechanism provides millimetre-by-millimetre height adjustment between 25 and 84 cm. As a result, you can adapt the table to different activities throughout the day.
At its lowest position, Compact functions as a coffee table. Alternatively, you can select an intermediate height for working or casual use. At full height, the table becomes suitable for dining.
Moreover, Altacom integrates wheels beneath the base. These hidden wheels make it easier to reposition Compact when you change the room layout.
Two integrated folding extensions
Compact features two internal folding extensions. Each extension adds 35 cm to the tabletop.
With one extension open, the table grows from 100 to 135 cm. Opening both creates the maximum 170 × 68 cm dining surface.
The extensions remain inside the table when not in use. Therefore, you do not need to store separate extension panels elsewhere. This integrated system also makes Compact particularly convenient for smaller interiors.
Metal base and versatile top finishes
The Compact Altacom table features a metal base. Meanwhile, the current collection offers several tabletop materials and finishes.
Available options include melamine, open-pore lacquered, oak veneer, old oak and mortar-look. Therefore, Compact can adapt to a variety of interior styles.
For example, oak veneer introduces a warmer natural character. Old oak creates a more distinctive wood effect. Alternatively, mortar-look gives the table a contemporary architectural appearance.
