Bentwood Craftsmanship and Woven Cane

The defining feature of this desk is the wide circular disk crafted in steam-bent solid beech — a clear reference to the heritage of Gebrüder Thonet Vienna.

Within this curved frame, a woven cane screen creates visual depth while linking the top to the bent base element. As a result, the design feels light yet structurally expressive.

The wide-mesh cane surface is not purely decorative. Instead, it allows small accessories, notes or objects to be attached, adding functionality to the architectural form.
