To show how this works, we’ve created a concept based on a real apartment currently listed for sale in Amsterdam.
The apartment has a total surface of 58 sqm, and while the interior is clean and bright, it feels a little dated.
We decided to show how the space could look if it were furnished with premium Italian brands — and no renovation. Let’s walk through the results room by room.
Living room: elegance and versatility.
We chose a refined yet practical dining set as the heart of the living space. The SILHOUETTE extendable table by Calligaris features a high-performance ceramic top in a black calacatta marble finish — a mix of black, grey, and terracotta hues that subtly echo the original wood flooring. Its size (130×90 cm, extendable to 190 cm) makes it perfect for both daily life and guests.
To match the table’s soft, flowing lines, we added ETOILE dining chairs, also by Calligaris. With their gently curved backrests and elegant legs, they create a coherent, sculptural look.
Next to the dining area, we placed the REGIS sofa by Felis.
It’s compact yet extremely functional: the hidden bed inside opens to a 120×197 cm sleeping area, complete with a real mattress and slatted base.
We chose a neutral anthracite fabric, but this model is available in dozens of finishes.
At the center of the lounge area, the ARENA coffee table by Calligaris adds a refined, tactile touch. The wooden top is framed with a removable leather rim in a warm cognac tone — both stylish and practical, as it doubles as a large serving tray.
Below the TV, we placed the PICA sideboard by Bontempi. It features two side doors and open central shelving with glass inserts — great for displaying books or decor. The anthracite lacquer finish adds contrast and definition.
A graphic rug (OFFSET by Calligaris) and the sculptural COMPENDIUM floor lamp by Luceplan complete the room.
